Spring has sprung and so has the asparagus!
My mother-in-law taught me this trick and it’s helped saved me from many a limp asparagus stick. When you get home from the grocery store, trim about an inch from the bottom of the asparagus bunch. Choose a cup or glass that has enough weight to hold them upright and not tip. Fill the cup with about 1 inch of water and place your asparagus bouquet in the cup. Store it in the refrigerator for at least 5 more days on average.
